Athena Romano is a successful businesswoman and up and coming author who leads a very busy life in her childhood home in Cape Cod. Troy Young is a Texas rancher and independent contractor who is comfortable with his life. They are both content and certainly not looking for love.
Then their paths cross.
At first, their personalities clash, and Athena’s patience is tested. However, adversity eventually turns to attraction for Athena and Troy. That is until Athena puts the brakes on the relationship and flies home to Massachusetts. She cannot get involved with a man who lives on the other end of the country and whose much younger brother is in a relationship with her daughter.
It is a long way from Texas to the Cape, but Troy is determined to do whatever it takes to win her heart.
